José I. Rojas-Méndez
José I. Rojas-Méndez is a Full Professor of International Business and Marketing at Sprott School of Business, Carleton University, Canada. He received his Ph.D. in Marketing from Manchester Business School, England, and his M.B.A. from the University of Ottawa, Canada.
His research interests include nation branding, international consumer behaviour, cross-cultural issues in business and family business reputation. Currently, he is working on a project entitled „Reputation development and signalling in family business organizations“, which is funded by the Government of Canada.
In 2024, he was recognized as a World Place Brand Impact Maker by The Place Brand Observer and was awarded the prestigious Sprott School of Business Research Award at Carleton University, Canada, for exemplifying excellence in research. In 2022, he was the Recipient of the Person of the Year Award by The Chilean Association of Business School for his outstanding academic career. He received the „Best Paper Award“ from the Journal of Product and Brand Management and was distinguished with the Research Achievement Award granted by Carleton University to 10 of the most outstanding researchers of the institution. He has published more than 55 academic papers in important journals.
José has worked as a consultant for companies operating in the pension system, supermarkets, banks, construction, automotive, and education in various countries.
José has been a visiting professor and has been invited to give lectures in international business and marketing in more than 30 countries, including China, India, Germany, France, Austria, Saudi Arabia, India, Wales, South Korea, Japan, Greece, Hungary, Mexico, Peru, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Canada.
